FPC Club Social - Friday & Saturday, July 24-25th
Wild Camping Clinic, Lobster Boil, Camp-Over & Paddle
When: Friday, July 24th to Saturday noon
Where: Seeley Cove Road, Seeley Cove
Fundy Paddlers Club is hosting a fun overnight camping event for members and friends on Friday, July 24th till Saturday noon. Bring your canoes/kayaks/SUP's for an evening and early morning paddle in the Cove.
Schedule:
Friday, at 4:00 pm there will be a 'Wild Camping Clinic' with Peter Foss on the beach at the end of Paul Road.
Peter will be teaching participants how to properly build campfires in all weather, which includes firewood collection etc. We will be learning to pitch our tents for varied ground types and weather, rain shelters etc. There will also be a brief section on hyper/hypothermia also. Lots of tips for everyone!
At 6:00 pm, the lobster pot will be filled... we'll be serving all-you-can-eat lobster, salads and more to all present at 6:30pm.
For those that wish to bring their canoes and/or kayaks, there will be a moonlight paddle at 8pm and a morning paddle on Saturday in the Cove area.
A beach bon-fire will be lit at 8pm - if you play guitar, spoons or any instrument, please feel free to bring them.
This is a BYOB social. FPC will supply non-alcohol beverages. (We do not advise drinking and driving)
Campers may set up their tents any time Friday at 450 Seeley Cove Road. Pat Stanley (FPC's equipment Officer & Board member) will be our host. There will be a washroom available on the premises.
NOTE: There will be a $20 fee per head. Payment with RSVP can be made to fundypaddlersclub@maiz.ca (Paypal) or please RSVP fundypaddlersclub@inbox.com and bring cash payment to event on Friday, July 24th.
